If you’re looking for a fun day out when staying at one of our seaside cottages visit the beautifully renovated train station.
Take a trip back in time on a heritage steam train from Minehead station and travel along the scenic Exmoor coastline and through the Quantock hills. Try a relaxing round trip or alight at one of the ten quaint and well cared for stations along the twenty- two mile track to Bishops Lydeard.
We particularly enjoy a day trip to the beach at Blue Anchor, the Marina in Watchet or the castle in the medieval village of Dunster.
A buffet car provides snacks and drinks, including locally brewed Somerset cider and Somerset cream teas.
Dogs are welcome on the train and will enjoy a country walk from any of the stations along the line.
Look out for special events including railway galas, murder mystery trips and Santa specials in December.
